Environment + lighting

Reference picture + material sample used for grass effects

Setup 1 light to create settings to give desired effect - tools - arrayed to cover entire roof of hangar


Created outdoor fairy light to desired specification - the cloned and placed along lining of roof as desired



Rendered to test (lots and lots of testing this is an overview)


Dragged out extremly large plane (scence floor)


Highlighted and detached required sections and applied grass material (shown previously)


Created atmosphere / moon lighting. 1 bulb - 1000% intensity - test rendered (many many mutilple times) to achieve aquired effect


Created complicated material using splat to show splats as reflections with desire to create water puddles

Along grass sections created barriers - then added fairy lights to travel down barrier (one fairy light arrayed

LIGHTING TOWERS

Create cylinder


inset - bevel extrude so top is slightly narrower then base


Create box - rotate - position on pole as light casing arm pole


tools - array - rotation - 6 - 360'



Create cylinder


Take geometry of one end - bend towards base across single plane - this creates pinch


Place on to single supporting arm (previously array)


array with same settings


Add light to lamp centre - adjust light setting and array same settings as before


Created corrugated door for hangar - duplicated ready to animate


Showing surface texture (highlight every other vertex and push inwards)


Created duplicate hangar (shell no internal lights)
